Toyotafest was my first real car show. I have had cars I loved (87 Integra and 05 RX8 shout out), but they were not worth showing. Th Sunchaser is a different story.
I admit, I was too shy and did not talk enough to the obsessive Celica people. I really habe no excuse except being nervous that their cars were so cool and well restored, and maybe I wasn’t really in their club. This was stupid.
There were amazing Celicas there with beautiful interiors, which is where I need the most help. I did learn that rubber and plastic trim pieces are hard to find.
I should have gotten advice instead if feeling awkward.

Hold the phone! A shy attorney?
Don’t be shy and go to every meet/show you can! Don’t be ashamed. That Chaser is awesome!

Just go there, look at the car, if you spot the owner, compliment the car, and then start with something like “I’m working on a Sunchaser, and wondered how...”. If you are nice and they don’t react accordingly, more often than not, they are just complete dickheads

I’m generally bad at that, too; I’m trying to work on it.
Also, I saw a red Sunchaser out on the road about a week ago, cruising down Route 222 in Reading, PA. I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d see one on the road anytime soon!

It happens. When I go to the shows, whether alone or with some people, just pace yourself and find your comfortable spots to hang and where the personable people are.

Mmmm, Westerns. I have a weird love for Western wheels. I need a Firebird so I can have some
